Neurology is a branch of medical science that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The nervous system is a complex and highly differentiated network that gives us an idea of the reality around us, lets us know ourselves and others, and plans and executes all of our activities. The nervous system is the site of senses, movements, memories, emotions and communication. The nervous system is into two main parts:

1. Central Nervous System: That includes the brain and spinal cord
2. Peripheral Nervous System: Sensory and motor nerves and all sensory organs including eyes, ears, skin and ...

The neurologist diagnoses and treats diseases that affect the above systems, including:

• Vascular diseases such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and vascular malformations
• Inflammatory diseases such as MS, encephalitis and autoimmune diseases
• Peripheral Nervous System Diseases like Guillain Barre, Myasthenia, Muscle Disease
• Degenerative diseases such as dementia, motor neuron disease, neuromotor diseases
• Motor disorders such as Parkinson's, Dystonia, Tic, Akathisia
• Infectious diseases such as meningitis and encephalitis
• Seizures and epilepsy syndromes
• Headaches and Related Diseases
• Brain and spinal cord tumors

Spinal cord diseases
The field of neurology is closely linked to fields such as psychiatry, rheumatology, cardiology, ophthalmology. As well as the rapidly expanding human knowledge of neuroscience and its diseases, the field of neurology, like other fields of medicine, is rapidly becoming specialized.
Among the fields of Fellowship or Specialty in Neurology are the following:

stroke
Neurointervention
Movement disorders
Neuromuscular
Neuroimmunology
Seizures and epilepsy
Headache
sleep disorders
Noro ICU
Neuropathology
